A fire which took over a Bermondsey Tower block back in July this year sparked an urgent need for property owners across the UK to check if they are in ownership of any Beko fridge freezers that are subject to a Trading Standards safety warning.  

At the time, The London Fire Brigade reported that there had been at least 20 fridge/freezer related fires in the capital since 2008, causing 15 people to be injured and one fatality.

We thought that with Christmas coming and fridges often being overloaded and overworked, it could be a good time to give our landlords and tenants a bit of a reminder to check your appliances to make sure they are not one of the models in question.
